On December 10, the HUFLIT CAREER TALKS 2022 series – organized by the External Relations Department in collaboration with the recruitment platform Viec Lam 24h of Sieu Viet Resource Company, hosted the talkshow “3-DEGREE PASSWORD SET IN THE LABOR MARKET”.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous job opportunities have emerged in the labor market. Conversely, with wider job opportunities come challenges that students must overcome to avoid unemployment. Below are insights drawn from the practical experience of Mr. Vo Minh Tuan – Human Resources Director of Sieu Viet Resource Company (parent company of 24h) regarding the intersection of qualifications and attitude, and the essential skills students should possess when entering the labor market.
In your opinion, how are “Qualifications” and “Attitude” understood?
According to Mr. Vo Minh Tuan, qualifications always go hand in hand with knowledge and skills.
First, regarding knowledge, students must truly master the professional knowledge of the major they are studying and working in. Upon entering the workforce, many students often lack foundational and professional knowledge, making it difficult for them to thoroughly resolve issues. Additionally, equipping oneself with general knowledge about society, technology, etc., is truly necessary in today’s era of innovation. This is especially crucial for fields that require constant updates and continuous innovation, such as communications and Marketing.
Regarding skills, Mr. Vo Minh Tuan highlighted two skill groups that students must master right upon entering the labor market, as these will make them stand out in the corporate environment while helping them develop rapidly and minimize risks.

| Regarding attitude at work, he believes that each of you should proactively research information and job requirements. When an enterprise recruits, they only want to hire someone who can work without spending too much time and cost on training. Always be serious and take responsibility for your work, remain proactive, and do not shy away from difficulties and challenges. If you meet all the above criteria, you will certainly gain high trust from the business. | Regarding the attitude towards people, to build sustainable social relationships and charm those around you, you should maintain a positive attitude towards everyone. First of all, be yourself, because only by being yourself will you not be swayed by the opinions and perspectives of others. Be open and helpful, and avoid excessive individualism as it will hinder your personal development. |
So where is the intersection between “Qualification” and “Attitude”?
Mr. Minh Tuan shared that: “persistence” or also known as “perseverance” is the intersection between “qualification” and “attitude”. Because in most professions, professionals need to gain enough experience to fully grasp the work and understand whether they are truly suited for the field. The important thing is to pursue it to the end, overcoming immediate obstacles and striving to achieve your set goals. Although in the initial period, you may feel tired, exhausted, or even “sick”, once you get into the groove, you will reap the well-deserved rewards after a difficult journey. Looking back, you can take pride in sharing your story to create value for others.

End-of-session activity for students
At the end of the talkshow, the speaker answered students’ questions regarding various issues and the preparation needed for entering the workforce starting now. Additionally, there was a trivia game with prizes to help students recall the knowledge shared by the speaker during the talkshow.
