2000+ students participated in the HUFLIT Career Fair 2023

With the desire to prepare career readiness for students and seek recruitment opportunities at the HUFLIT Internship Week / HUFLIT Career Fair 2023, creating opportunities for students to directly connect with businesses, on April 22, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology organized the Job Fair as part of the meaningful series of activities of the HUFLIT Internship Week / HUFLIT Career Fair 2023. The event was sponsored by diamond sponsor Carlsberg Vietnam, silver sponsor iTechwx Vietnam, and more than 20 accompanying businesses.

At the fair, many attractive activities from more than 20 business booths provided over 300 internship positions (translation / interpretation, administration / secretarial, tourism, accounting – auditing, media, marketing, Business Administration, teaching assistant, teacher, etc.) and job openings, attracting more than 2000 student participants.

Carrying the mission as the final station in the journey of <UNDERSTAND TO SUCCEED/>, the fair helped equip students with necessary knowledge, skills, and experience before entering the challenging labor market, with meaningful and practical activities such as the keynote “Overcoming Work Pressure”, supporting the process of untangling issues in work and life that students are facing or will encounter in the future.

Attending the fair, students had the opportunity to interact and experience the work culture through the booths of businesses. Not only were they provided with information on applications and career trends from experts at the booths, but there were also engaging activities, useful and interesting games from the sponsoring units participating in the program, allowing participating students to take home various and attractive gifts for themselves.

Also taking place during the fair, the Interview Round of the “24-Hour CV Writing” Competition was held with the participation of recruitment experts from businesses and 20 outstanding faces who submitted well-crafted CV entries meeting international standards, who are young students from the university. With topics covering Human Resources, Foreign Languages, F&B, Business Administration, and Information Technology fields, it opened up a dynamic, diverse, practical, and meaningful competitive playground for students wishing to express their career aspirations, showcasing their rare mettle and talents before recruiting businesses. The interview session was successful and received positive feedback from the community as well as prizes awarded from the program, matching the talents of the students.

To reinforce and supplement essential knowledge for students in understanding today’s work culture, the program invited experts with years of experience in researching and developing the labor market. The Keynote: Overcoming Work Pressure, shared by the guest expert, provided a wealth of valuable resources for the student community of the university.

Concluding the series of activities of the “HUFLIT Career Fair 2023” was the lucky spin activity, searching for the owners of high-value prizes such as Apple Watches, Samsung phones, and pairs of Apple AirPods 2.

It can be seen that at any time, in a new era with new technologies, career fields are constantly fluctuating, and it is inevitable that there will be a demand for a workforce suitable for the corporate environment at that time.
