Taking place from June 3 to June 7, 2024, the HUFLIT Interview Week 2024 with the theme “Step out of your comfort zone” attracted over 500 job applications from students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT).
Interview Golden Day: Direct connection with employers
On June 6 – 7 as part of the event, the “Interview Golden Day” activity took place vith the participation of 14 domestic and international businesses across various fields including Concentrix Services Vietnam; Vietjet Air; MISA; Ê Su Hai; Innovature; Yisan Vietnam; Yakjin Ho Chi Minh City; Shyang Ta; Mirae Asset; AEON Vietnam; Transcosmos Technology Vietnam; JobsGo; VUS; VHN Group. This is a golden opportunity for students to be interviewed directly and find suitable jobs and internship positions.
Before the interview day, according to statistics on the website careerhub.huflit.edu.vn, 500+ CVs had applied for job openings from participating businesses through the job portal for HUFLIT students. Through the screening process, 238 students were invited by businesses to participate in direct interviews at the Meeting Room and Seminar Room at the 828 Su Van Hanh campus.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ha, Chief Operating Officer of Concentrix Services Vietnam and a HUFLIT alumnus, highly praised the foreign language proficiency of HUFLIT students. She shared that over 100 HUFLIT students are currently working at Concentrix and hopes this number will increase to 200 by the end of 2024.
Career Takeoff: Smart Interviewing, Confident Salary Negotiation
The HUFLIT Career Talks Session 12 “Career Takeoff: Successful Interview, Confident Salary Negotiation” took place on the afternoon of June 3, 2024, attracting nearly 500 attending students. Experts from Qatar Airways, the German Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Ground Services (SAGS), and Sofitel Saigon Plaza shared valuable experiences regarding interview skills, salary negotiation, and current recruitment requirements.
Through the insights shared by experts during the program, HUFLIT students gained valuable advice on how to answer questions from employers, a clear understanding of current recruitment requirements from businesses for candidates, and the opportunity to interact and ask questions to the experts.
Perfecting your professional CV
With the companionship of TopCV and the HUFLIT Photography Club, on May 10, 2024 HUFLIT students were supported in perfecting their CVs and Profile photos. Thanks to this, they could make a great impression on employers right from the application round. The activity took place on May 10, 2024.
Also during the Interview Day, HUFLIT implemented a CV editing and printing service, helping students promptly supplement their job applications to desired businesses.
Boosting Employer Brand Communications
HUFLIT Interview Week 2024 offers businesses the opportunity to promote their employer brand, connecting with confident, dynamic potential candidates who fit their specific work environment and corporate culture, through a series of activities including Livestream recruitment newsletters (hyperlink livestream video), recruitment newsletter exhibitions, and direct communication. In addition, according to statistics on careerhub.huflit.edu.vn – the recruitment website for HUFLIT students, there have been over 50,000+ views of recruitment posts published on the website.
