In order to meet the recruitment needs of leading businesses and provide practical exposure for young students from 12 training majors at the university. On the morning of May 21, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) organized the HUFLIT JOB FAIR 2022 with the participation of more than 30 domestic and multinational businesses and over 3,000 student visits for exploration and application. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) was honored to be accompanied by the gold sponsor CONCENTRIX Vietnam, bronze sponsors Lazada Logistics and AhaMove.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan shared sincerely, “Higher education is a very special field, which is when we stand closer to the threshold of a career. In short, it is the final step for us to enter society or, in more common terms, to ‘make a living’. What we train at the university is respected and warmly welcomed by businesses.”
Sharing more about the educational philosophy, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized training the qualities, competencies, and knowledge that businesses and society need. Businesses provide feedback and contribute to building the training program so that it does not solely focus on theoretical teaching. The core focus of the university’s educational philosophy is to help students achieve freedom and happiness through their own learning; through ethics, intellect, integrity, cooperation, and responsibility. The principal concluded his speech with a thought: “Building a career, not looking for a job”.
With more than 12 years of working experience in various places around the world and also as a former international student, Ms. Shane Nguyen stated, “Vietnam’s education is currently very good, and studying abroad is not strictly necessary to achieve that good education.”. With the empathy of having been a student herself, Ms. Shane Nguyen created opportunities for students at the university to exchange and listen more to diverse stories from seniors who are now very successful not only at CONCENTRIX Vietnam but also in many other large and small communities.

Talkshow activities for Gen Z such as “E-Logistics – The Wizard in the E-Commerce Universe” and “Introduction to the Internship Program at Enterprises” attracted the participation of a large number of students. Here, HUFLITers listened to practical and relatable sharing from the perspectives of senior alumni who used to be newcomers in the industry.
Through these activities, experts from the Lazada e-commerce platform and Concentrix Service Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared career orientations as well as answered questions about the domestic and international labor markets and the general demands of employers.
Thus, helping students gain a multi-dimensional perspective on recruitment trends and the necessary skills to quickly adapt well to the labor market, especially the high-quality labor market.
