The 12-month internship program at Ryoutiku Hotel (Oita Prefecture, Japan) has officially started, marking an important milestone in sending students for overseas internships at HUFLIT. Opportunities for experience and career development are wide open for students.
12-Month Internship Program in Japan
Through the interview and preparation process, three students Pham Thi My Linh, Le Thi Thanh Thao, and Pham Thi Ngoc Thuong from the 2020 cohort of the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures, have been selected to participate in the paid 12-month internship program at Ryoutiku Hotel, Oita Prefecture, Japan, marking an important milestone in implementing the University’s Overseas Internship program.
The 12-month Internship Program at Ryoutiku Hotel (Oita Prefecture, Japan) is implemented according to the cooperation agreement between HUFLIT, the Oita Prefectural Government, and the Beppu City Hotel and Ryokan Association. The program offers students the opportunity for practical experience in the hospitality industry in Japan.
Meeting before the trip
Before departing for Japan, the 3 interns had a meeting with Mr. Ogata Hajime, Director of Ryoutiku Hotel, and HUFLIT Lecturers. The meeting took place in an open and friendly atmosphere.
Mr. Ogata Hajime shared useful information about the hotel, work culture, as well as things to keep in mind when living and working in Japan. He also expressed confidence in the abilities of the young people and hoped they would have a successful internship.
On their part, the students have thoroughly prepared their professional knowledge, Japanese communication skills, as well as a mindset ready to learn and adapt to the new environment.
A promising 12-month internship journey
On May 28, 2024, the three interns will depart for Japan, officially starting a 12-month journey full of challenges but equally interesting.
During the internship, you will work in different departments of Ryoutiku Hotel, from front desk, housekeeping to restaurant and culinary. This is an opportunity for you to apply the knowledge learned into practice, hone professional skills, and at the same time experience the culture and lifestyle of Japanese people.
