On the morning of August 11, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony with Golden Gate Group Corporation (Golden Gate), alongside the HUFLIT Career Talk #6 program themed “Seize the Opportunity, Achieve Success in the FnB Industry.” The program attracted the interest of over 400 HUFLIT students.
Attending the Signing Ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice President of HUFLIT, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Ly – Head of Human Resource and Training at Golden Gate, faculty members from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of International Relations, senior managers from Golden Gate, and 400 students of the University.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu shared: “The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with Golden Gate affirms HUFLIT’s mission, fulfilling HUFLIT’s development strategy for the 2022 – 2025 period, opening up opportunities for HUFLIT students to access and explore more about the food and beverage industry.
In addition, HUFLIT understands that education is not limited to classroom hours at the University, but must also be coherently linked to real life and the labor market, and today’s Signing Ceremony with Golden Gate is proof of this.”
Ms. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Head of Human Resource and Training, stated: “According to economic experts’ analysis, although Vietnam’s economy in 2023 will face many pressures, the revenue of the FnB industry in Vietnam is projected to grow by 18%, reaching over 700 trillion VND. After recovering from the pandemic, the FnB industry will continue to develop at a stable pace and is expected to reach a value of nearly 1 trillion VND by 2026.
To prepare for that future development, Golden Gate always operates under the motto “Happy Employees, Satisfied Customers,” and to build that sustainable development environment, we look forward to finding young, passionate, enthusiastic, and challenge-loving human resources like HUFLIT students.”
The event marks a comprehensive cooperative relationship, promising to open up many opportunities for employment, internships, company tours, skills and mindset development for students, especially in the FnB field. This agreement is valid for 03 years from the signing date and can be extended by written agreement between the two parties. This is the first cooperation and is expected to bring many bright prospects for the development of both HUFLIT and Golden Gate in the near future.
In addition, with the aim of partnering with the university to provide career orientation for students, bringing students valuable information about the labor market, and the necessary knowledge and skills to steadily advance on their future career path, especially in the FnB field.
During the program, HUFLIT Career Talkshow #6 “Seize the Opportunity, Achieve Success in the FnB Industry” took place, featuring Mr. Tran The Quang, Business Unit Director, and Ms. Ly Thi Thanh Thao, Talent Acquisition Manager of Golden Gate Group, sharing an overview of the FnB sector and career development opportunities at Golden Gate Group.
The program’s interaction with the two guest speakers provided much useful information and exciting experiences regarding the FnB field as well as opportunities to receive exclusive gifts from Golden Gate.

In December 2022, Golden Gate signed a Cooperation Commitment with the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures at the 2023 Enterprise Conference and Cooperation Commitment. Following the coordination between the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures and the External Relations Office in several employment connection activities, in the near future, Golden Gate will accompany and cooperate with HUFLIT in recruiting interns, organizing company tours, talkshows, and soft skills workshops related to the restaurant and hospitality business fields for the HUFLIT student community, as well as accompanying enterprise connection activities deployed by the University.
