On the afternoon of January 4, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) solemnly held the KEB HANA Scholarship Award Ceremony for 2023, dedicated to 25 students with excellent academic performance, overcoming hardships, and actively participating in school activities.
This is an annual scholarship sponsored by two units: “KEB HANA Bank” and “Hana Nanum Foundation”. In 2023, there were 25 scholarships for students from faculties including the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, and Faculty of Law.

Attending the ceremony were representatives from KEB HANA Bank, HCMC Branch, including: Mr. Cho SukMin – Senior Manager of KEB Hana Bank, HCMC Branch; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cuc – HR Director; Ms. La Thi Kim Tho – Banker.
On behalf of HUFLIT, the attendees included: Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Principal of HUFLIT; Mst. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of External Relations Department; Mst. Dinh Hong Van – Head of Political and Student Affairs Department, along with the heads of Faculty Management Boards, parents, and especially 25 outstanding students who received the KEB HANA scholarship in 2023.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Principal of HUFLIT, delivered a speech expressing deep gratitude to KEB HANA Bank and the HANA NANUM Scholarship Fund for accompanying HUFLIT for over 12 years, bringing students many opportunities to study, strive, and practice. This demonstrates the fine friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries, Vietnam and South Korea. At the same time, he also advised the 25 students to continue striving in their studies and achieve more successes in the upcoming semesters.

On behalf of the students, Nguyen Nhat Hung – a sophomore majoring in Korean Studies (Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures), representing the 25 students receiving the KEB HANA 2023 scholarship, shared: “For us students, receiving the scholarship has a profound meaning, proving our relentless efforts in the learning process. At the same time, it somewhat helps students facing financial difficulties to cover some expenses during their studies. I would like to sincerely thank the University, KEB HANA Bank, and the Nanum Scholarship Fund for bringing opportunities and creating conditions for students to continue striving and working hard in the upcoming semesters.”

Over the past 12 years, HUFLIT has always received enthusiastic support and trust from KEB HANA Bank and the Nanum Scholarship Fund. This shows the strong bond between the two countries, Vietnam and South Korea. This year, there are 25 scholarships for HUFLIT students (400 USD/scholarship). Based on the scholarship criteria as well as the approval from the University’s Board of Management, HUFLIT decided to award the scholarships to: 10 students majoring in Korean Studies (Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures); 03 students from the Faculty of Law; 06 students from the Faculty of Business Administration; 06 students from the Faculty of Economics and Finance.
