With the goal of creating many opportunities for HUFLIT students to intern and work in a multinational working environment, on November 18, 2021, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology welcomed and had a meeting with VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air). This is also the first working session between the two sides, following the successful cooperation in the program “Vietjet Recruitment Fair at HUFLIT (2020)”, and the HUFLIT Online 2021 program.
VIETJET Aviation Joint Stock Company (VIETJET Air) has been honored by the aviation safety rating agency AirlineRating as the World’s Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline for 5 consecutive years (2017-2021). Especially during the 4th social distancing period in 2021, VIETJET Air was the first airline in Vietnam to proactively switch to cargo transportation to adapt to practical conditions.
Attending the meeting, on behalf of VIETJET, there was the presence of Mr. Tong Viet Bay – Deputy HR Director, Ms. Le Nguyen Hien Trinh – Deputy Head of Cabin Crew, and representatives of the VIETJET recruitment department.
On the side of HUFLIT, there was the attendance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Manh Ha – Vice Rector of the University, along with the presence of Heads of Training Department, External Relations Department; Heads of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of International Relations.
Representing VIETJET, Mr. Tong Viet Bay shared that according to current statistics, there are more than 100 HUFLIT alumni working at VIETJET. Mr. Bay highly appreciated HUFLIT students for their English communication skills, as well as their appearance and neatness in communication. These are factors that are completely suitable for the service and multinational working environment at VIETJET. In addition, VIETJET further shared about the urgent need for early training and large-scale recruitment to serve VIETJET’s development plan in the near future.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Manh Ha stated that the current training majors at HUFLIT are completely suitable for VIETJET’s human resource needs. In addition, HUFLIT is ready to support in training soft skills on communication and service procedures for VIETJET’s staff.
At the end of the working session, the two sides agreed to cooperate and soon reach an MOU signing agreement in the first quarter of 2022. Specifically, besides sharing recruitment information, as soon as possible HUFLIT and VIETJET will cooperate to open short-term classes for HUFLIT students, training for output certificates to meet VIETJET’s professional requirements. Moving forward, opening specialized training majors in the aviation industry, continuously providing human resources for VIETJET. HUFLIT invites VIETJET experts to participate in updating the training program, and some programs in 2022 such as: HUFLIT Career Talks, HUFLIT Job Fair. The two sides also agreed to appoint some HUFLIT lecturers to participate in training skills and operations for VIETJET staff.
With an open and intimate atmosphere, HUFLIT and VIETJET discussed and offered cooperation opportunities regarding early certification training, internships, and employment for HUFLIT students. Thereby, helping HUFLIT students have more opportunities to work in a multinational working environment at VIETJET.
