On the afternoon of May 23, 2023, at the LOTTE Hotel Saigon, 08 HUFLIT students were honored to receive the LOTTE Scholarship 2023, valued at $800/grant, distributed in 2 installments in 2023. The scholarship fund belongs to the LOTTE Group of South Korea.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of the LOTTE Scholarship Foundation, leaders of the LOTTE Hotel Saigon, and member companies of the LOTTE Group. Representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice President; representatives of the External Relations Department, and 08 HUFLIT students who received the scholarship in 2023. Also attending the scholarship award ceremony were 60 scholarship recipients and representatives from 11 universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Chun Yung Woo – Chairman of the LOTTE Scholarship Foundation, stated: The most important thing to achieve is human resource development. The LOTTE Scholarship Foundation values helping excellent Vietnamese students achieve their dreams and develop into talents who can contribute to the country’s development, which is always a crucial mission of all times.
At the ceremony, the LOTTE Scholarship Foundation awarded scholarships to 60 outstanding students. Each scholarship is valued at $800 per year ($400 per semester). In 2023, the Foundation awarded 08 grants to HUFLIT students. HUFLIT is 01 of the 03 universities receiving the highest number of scholarships from the Foundation in 2023.

I feel extremely honored to receive the Lotte Scholarship. It makes me feel that my academic efforts are worthwhile. However, I will not be complacent and will strive even harder. The Lotte Scholarship will be the driving force for me to continue my journey of conquering knowledge, stepping out of my comfort zone, and living a responsible and meaningful life according to my own and my family's expectations.
I am very honored to attend the LOTTE Scholarship award ceremony, have the opportunity to meet students from various faculties and other universities, learn more about the LOTTE Group, and meet leaders, which is a completely new and interesting experience for me.

The scholarship received will assist me in my studies, allowing me to create new opportunities for myself that I haven't had the chance to try, and I can also use it to take care of my daily life. I am very honored to receive the scholarship in this batch. I sincerely thank the faculty and the university not only for creating spiritual conditions for me through school activities but also for supporting me financially for my studies. Since 2008, the Lotte Foundation has started organizing scholarship award ceremonies for students in Vietnam with the aim of encouraging them to strive in their studies, while creating a premise for them to strive for the future. 2023 is the 8th consecutive year that the Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to HUFLIT students.
In 2023, the Foundation targeted first-year students, with priority given to students with permanent residence in Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, and Quang Ngai.
