On December 9th, at the Capella Gallery Hall wedding and convention center, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) solemnly organized Business Conference 2022 – 2023 and Cooperation Commitment for the 2022 – 2025 academic year. With the participation of 38 domestic and international businesses, the conference successfully took place with 2 discussion groups and 18 signed cooperation commitment agreements.
In recent years, the labor market has undergone strong transformations. To promote cooperative development between businesses and faculties, listen to feedback and contributions from units, HUFLIT solemnly organizes the Business Conference 2022 – 2023 & Cooperation Commitment for the 2022 – 2025 academic year with the aim of creating mutual value as well as bringing internship, field trip, and job opportunities for HUFLIT students.
With the desire to gather maximum feedback from businesses regarding the training program, internship program, and recruitment needs, the conference began with discussions in 02 groups. With over 80 feedback turns, businesses and faculties had frank exchanges and provided opinions closely aligned with social needs, giving an overview evaluation of HUFLIT students currently interning at the companies. In addition, the Organizing Committee presented what students wanted to convey to businesses; most of their opinions expressed the desire for more favorable conditions in internships and field trips despite their lack of experience, and hoped that businesses would host sharing sessions and workshops to help them learn more practical knowledge and real-world experience.
During the discussion session, businesses highly praised the attitude and dynamism of HUFLIT students in their work. In addition, employers expressed that the University should pay attention to equipping HUFLIT students with physical health and soft skills. For specific majors in the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, a prerequisite is having good health to serve the job to the fullest extent; therefore, during the discussion, businesses proposed that the university should increase physical education courses to help students maintain good health.
After the exchange and negotiation process, Faculty Leaders and Business Representatives signed the Cooperation Commitment Agreement for the 2022 – 2025 period at the Conference, to enhance commitments on collaborative activities in the near future.
Over the past period, Vietnam and the entire world have witnessed the fluctuations of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the labor market being the most affected. During this very period, HUFLIT has always received strong companionship and support from businesses, helping HUFLIT students secure stable job opportunities right in the midst of the pandemic. To express gratitude for this collaboration, MSc. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of External Relations Department delivered a speech thanking the units that have accompanied the university over the past time and presented meaningful gifts to maintain a friendly cooperative relationship between the two sides in the future.
Overall, the conference took place successfully in a vibrant atmosphere, bringing great significance to both parties. It also serves as a motivation for HUFLIT to develop and maintain relationships with businesses, bringing more opportunities for students and creating conditions for them to develop to their fullest potential.
