One of the key insights shared by Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Chi, Growth & Partnerships Senior Manager at Vieclam24h and Career & Growth Coach, ICF Member at Vieclam24h (Sieu Viet Group) during HUFLIT Career Talks #9 under the theme: “2024 Labor Market Trends and Equipping Career Counseling Skills for Faculty Advisors.”
On the morning of December 2, 2023, HUFLIT Career Talks #9 was organized by the Business Relations Department, External Relations Office to provide faculty advisors from various faculties with insights from the 2023 Vietnam Labor Market Report and forecasts for the 2024 labor market trends, while also equipping faculty members with the necessary skills to provide career counseling to students in the upcoming period.
Attending the program on behalf of HUFLIT were M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu, Head of the External Relations Office, M.A. Do Duc Anh – in charge of the Business Relations Department. Representing the professional partner Vieclam24h were Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Chi, Growth & Partnerships Senior Manager at Vieclam24h and Career & Growth Coach, ICF Member; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam, HRBP Senior Manager MNC and Career & Leadership coach, and Ms. Bui Thi Bich Phuong, Brand Marketing Manager. The event also drew interest and registration from nearly 50 faculty advisors from various faculties.
During the program, M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu shared that the role of faculty advisors is crucial in supporting and accompanying students in their career orientation. Through this program, the faculty members will gain valuable information and a better understanding of the 2023 labor market as well as forecasts for the upcoming 2024 labor market trends.
In her session on equipping career counseling skills, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam – HRBP Senior Manager MNC and Career & Leadership coach shared that current students, especially those preparing for internships and graduation, need to equip themselves with professional and soft skills early to enhance the value of their CVs to employers in 2024.
Additionally, M.A. Do Duc Anh introduced the prominent features on the website https://careerhub.huflit.edu.vn/ and mentioned the current trend among businesses seeking to recruit interns and job seekers with specific foreign language proficiencies (Chinese, Korean, Japanese), while being willing to support short-term basic professional skill training so that candidates can integrate quickly into the corporate working environment.
This is also a new opening direction for HUFLIT students to seize opportunities and proactively acquire the professional skills employers are looking for.
Through the program, valuable insights shared by the professional partner Vieclam24h provided faculty advisors with a solid foundation to guide and provide career counseling for HUFLIT students in the future.
