Announcement on consideration for the KEB HANA Scholarship 2024

Based on the official dispatch from KEB Hana Bank – Ho Chi Minh City Branch regarding the annual scholarship program for students facing financial hardships at universities in Vietnam, HUFLIT Career Hub provides the criteria for the 2024 KEB Hana Scholarship consideration as follows:

1. Quantity and value of the scholarship

  • Number of scholarships: 25 slots
  • Scholarship value: $400/slot

2. Target audience for the 2024 KEB Hana Scholarship

  • Students majoring in Korean Language: 10 slots
  • Students from the Faculty of Business Administration: 06 slots
  • Students from the Faculty of Economics and Finance: 06 slots
  • Students majoring in Economic Law: 03 slots

3. Criteria

  • Full-time students majoring in Korean Language, and economics, finance, or banking-related majors. Except for final-year students;
  • Students facing difficulties in paying tuition fees;
  • Students or parents who are people with disabilities facing economic hardships;
  • Exemplary students with good academic achievements;
  • Average academic score of the most recent academic year:

– Minimum 7.5/10 or 3.0/4.0 for high-achieving students;

– Minimum 7.3/10 or 2.8/4.0 for students facing financial hardships.

4. Scholarship application documents

Note:

  • Students applying for the 2024 KEB Hana Scholarship, please contact the Faculty Office for guidance.
  • Students must submit their application documents to the Faculty Office by October 21, 2024 (Monday).
  • Students who received the scholarship in the previous year can still be nominated if they meet all the program’s criteria.
    • Application documents include:

      • Registration form (as per template) with a 3×4 photo, handwritten or typed;
      • Recommendation letter (as per template) from a lecturer or head of the department;
      • Student ID card;
      • Certificate of near-poor household (if any);
      • English transcript showing the most recent academic year or university admission notice (with the University’s confirmation stamp).
