On the morning of December 16, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) marked a memorable milestone with the KEB Hana 2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony. 25 scholarships with a total value of $10,000 are not only a well-deserved reward for the relentless efforts of students from the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Business Administration, and Faculty of Law, but also a great source of encouragement, helping them confidently pursue their educational dreams.
Attending the KEB Hana 2024 Scholarship Ceremony, on behalf of KEB Hana Bank Ho Chi Minh City Branch, were Mr. Shim Jae Yong – Deputy General Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cuc – Human Resources Director, and Ms. La Thi Kim Tho – Human Resources Specialist. On behalf of HUFLIT, there was the presence of the Teachers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice President; M.A. Nguyen Thi Thieu – Head of External Relations Department; M.A. Dinh Hong Van – Head of Department of Political and Student Affairs; Dr. Hoang Nguyen Phuong – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures; Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lan – Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance; Dr. Ho Hoang Duc – Dean of the Faculty of Law; M.A. Dinh Lan Huong – Deputy Head of the Korean Language Division. In addition, there was the appearance of 25 outstanding students who received the KEB Hana 2024 scholarship and 24 parents attending the ceremony.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – Vice President (HUFLIT) delivered a speech expressing profound gratitude to KEB Hana Bank and Hana Nanum Scholarship Foundation for accompanying HUFLIT for over the past 13 years, “HUFLIT is honored and grateful for the companionship of KEB Hana Bank in awarding 25 valuable scholarships to HUFLIT students. We understand that your educational journey is not always easy. Therefore, these scholarships from KEB Hana are not only valuable financial support, but also an encouragement for you to step firmly on the path of conquering knowledge and realizing your dreams.”
Mr. Shim Jae Yong – Deputy General Director of KEB Hana Bank HCMC Branch spoke and shared with the 25 scholarship recipients, “We have seen the wonderful learning spirit of HUFLIT students; no matter how difficult the circumstances, you always strive to the end. KEB Hana will continue to accompany HUFLIT students on the journey of conquering their future dreams.”
On behalf of the students, Dao Khanh Xuan – A 3rd-year student majoring in Korean Studies (Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures) representing the 25 students receiving the KEB Hana 2024 scholarship, speech: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to KEB Hana Bank and Hana Nanum Scholarship Foundation for supporting disadvantaged students who strive in their studies like us. The scholarships we receive are not only financial gifts, but also a great source of moral encouragement. This support helps us ease the burden of tuition fees, while adding faith and motivation for us to try harder in our studies, constantly develop ourselves, and strive for the future.”
Based on the scholarship criteria as well as the approval from the Board of Management, HUFLIT has decided to award scholarships to: 10 students majoring in Korean Language (Faculty of Oriental Languages and Cultures); 6 students from the Faculty of Economics and Finance; 6 students from the Faculty of Business Administration; 3 students from the Faculty of Law. At the Ceremony, M.A. Dinh Hong Van – Head of the Department of Student Affairs announced the Decision to award the 2024 KEB Hana scholarship to 25 students, with each scholarship worth 400 USD.
